Blog reflection

Keeping a blog was a difficult task, it was difficult to remember to put everything on here, but it was achievable. I'm not sure if i will continue to use this blog in the future, but i blog on another site, Tumblr. i prefer to reflect on work online rather than written because its alot easier to look back on, and its alot easier to edit posts. Looking back at the work i have put on my blog has shown my just how much work we have done in class and just how much i have learnt. over all this was a very interesting and useful class that has taught me alot.

Subject Evaluation

I feel this subject is a very useful subject, that gives us students skills we can use through out our lives. While taking this subject i have learnt so much about I.T such as how to use photoshop, as well as blending, masking, layering and so many more skills on photoshop. I have also learnt about websites that can help me with presentations and how to use them, e.g Prezi- to make my presentations more interesting using the zoom feature, and Google Docs- to create group presentations that every one in the group can access and edit. i also learnt how to make my own website using google sites. Each skill i have learnt through out this semester are skills i can use during the rest of my school years and possibly in a career i wish to pursue.
over all i have enjoyed studing this subject and i have enjoyed learning new things.

Theme Park Evaluation.

Research: Researching other theme parks gave me a good idea of the kinds of things I wanted in my park as well as price ranges and what information m website should have on it. My researching took around an hour but i completed this at home so i would have more time in class to complete my poster as i don't have photoshop at home.

Poster:I completed the poster for my theme park at school as i don't have photoshop at home. my poster has many different images and i used many skills such as: blending, masking, cropping and image size altering. i had forgotten things but i looked over the powerpoint's we were given when studying photoshop to help me remember the tools. if i were able to do this part of the project again i would make a more colourful background and include more pictures of rides.

Prezi Presentation: I found this the easiest thing in the project to do, as i knew how to work prezi, how to insert things and how to use the zoom feature. i feel my presentation would sell the idea of creating my theme park as it includes: costs, rides and images, information and information about my poster. if i could redo this part of my project, i would make it more colourful, and add more information.

Website: creating a website wasn't easy, but it wasn't impossible either. My website Included the 3 pages: Home page, Prices/Cost, and rides, it also included Maps and a Visitor information page. Some of the templates on offer we hard to understand, or had things you were unable to change on them, but i found my way in the end. I included a lot of information about my theme park, and about how it was split into two parks.

Google docs.

Google docs was a good website for group tasks but i feel it was a boring website to present with. It was very simple to use but it didn't have to many features to use.
The advantages to using google docs were:
- you could all collaborate together
- it was easy to use
- you could send people messages
The disadvantages were:
- it didn't have many features
- it was boring to present with
I probably wouldn't use it again in other classes, and i dont think i would recommend it to anyone either. If i could complete this group presentation again i would like to add more screen shots and add a video about using an online shopping website. The group worked together well and we all completed our parts on  time.

Prezi

i think prezi was a really great tool yo use, it was fun, creative, and the zoom feature made your presentation more interesting. i feel that prezi is a better way to make a presentation than power point because it makes your presentation a lot more interesting for the viewer/s rather than just looking at slide after slide. i would defiantly use prezi again for my other classes as it would make my presentation unique and more interesting, and i would recommend prezi to my class mates and peers to use on there presentations as well. Prezi had many advantages and a few disadvantages, the advantages would be:
- the zoom feature
- the pathways
- being able to add in videos
- it was really easy to use
and the disadvantages would be:
- you couldn't put in animations
- and the zoom feature sometimes got you a bit lost
Prezi was really easy to learn to use and i feel that just about anyone could pick up how to use it in just a few minutes. if i could do this assignment again i would have tryed to remember more of it so i wasnt just reading off the page so much.

My three favourite websites would be:
1. facebook.- for the communication/ social networking
2. tumblr.- for the photos/ bloging.
3. formspring.- because people can show opinions

they are all easy to use and allow you to socialise over the internet.

My Magazine Cover.

The first image is my magazine cover and the other is the photo before.
When editing the picture i changed the brightness, exposure/offset/gamma correction, vibrance/saturation, shadows and highlights. When adding things to the image from other dolly magazines i used magic wand, cut and paste and rectangle marquee tool. I also added other things in text and put a background around it, to do this i used the text tool and changed the style and size of the writing and i used the rectangle tool and changed the colour.

JPEG- Storing and transferring images with high depth and colour.
GIF-  Storing and transferring cartoons and line drawings
PNG- Storing photos that can be animated but still high quallity.
BITMAP- Storing whotos you wish to zoom into.
PSD-storing a photo you have photo shopped.

My full name is Megan-Alice Binns, i have brown hair, i'm outgoing, loud, i get bored easily, and i laugh alot. I am very clumsly, i push doors that clearly say pull and i spill alot of things. I love to be out with friends, and  when i was younger i played soccer. i was born in england and fly back every few years to see my family. i have a dog named Buster and a bird called Chip. At school i enjoy History, Health and Drama. My favourite colours are red and purple. I didnt choose to do I.T as a subject because i dont enjoy I.T as much as alother subjects. and thats about all i have to say about me.
